The DProbeP5 may be connect to the target system in two different ways:

• Debug (JTAG) connector
  A connector defined by Intel which allows access to the debug capabilities of the Pentium processor. Restriction: no trace recording is possible. If the debug connector is not present in your target, a Socket7-to-JTAG adapter can be used.
  
• Socket 7 connector
  The Probehead of the DProbeP5 directly fits into a Socket 7. This adaptation enables all features of the DProbeP5.
  If you are using a Pentium in BGA package, the Probehead can be connected via a solder-on adapter.
