The
evaluation board for SoC51 features different components and connectors that
are useful for your first SoC design:
- Altera Cyclone FPGA (EP1C12F256C7)
- Interface connector for DProbeHS
- 4-digit 7-segment LED display
- RS232 interfaces consisting of a female D-SUB 9-pin connector and a level
converter (MAX232)
- USB peripheral interface consisting of USB controller (FTDI245B) and B-type
receptacle connector
- Expansion connectors with 48 general-purpose I/O signals for user-added
hardware
- Download connector for the Altera Byteblaster
- Frequency generator with 4 fixed frequencies, selectable through a DIL
switch
- Boot PLD with external FLASH memory for stand-alone operation
The board doesn't need a power supply as it is powered by the attached DProbe
in-circuit emulator.
